First of all, my new case is SOLID. Even open it doesn't skew or twist. The top doesn't compress at all and the lip makes a smooth seal all around.
There are lots of little details you wouldn't think of, like extra ridges and feet to take the first hits. I live by the sea so materials that are impervious to moisture are essential. The trigger latches are of simple design, easy and fast to open.
The neck is wide to hold shaped foam that cradles your fretboard. This also provides more storage--a spare pack of strings lies flat. It gives a nice balance to the big dreadnought body, both in weight and appearance. Did I mention the comfy, oversized handle?
This is a beautiful case with a gently arched top. The interior is a classy dark jade velour which vacuums well and won't show stains.
So I'm a fan. The SKB18 costs only a few coins more than an average box, and truly has some superior features. Look no further.
Good Stuff!

You get what you pay for, and in this case (no pun intended) you get a sturdy' well built' solid piece of guitar womb!, put your acoustic in here and set your mind at ease!, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking!....

I have a Taylor accoustic and it fits great. Rock solid case, locks and hinges. Other reviews indicate that this is a heavy case - it is but isn't that what you would expect from a case designed to protect your guitar? I would highly recommend this case.
Excellent Case

I was very surprised at the quality of this case. The new latches are especially nice.

This case is everything you would expect from a hardshell case and more. The interior offers excellent protection to the guitar's finish with it's plush linning, while the outside is constructed very well. This case has locking latches that will not fall open. This is truly a rugged case I am very happy with this purchase.....
